Bhubaneswar: The Steel and Mines department will remain closed on Tuesday and Friday after COVID-19 cases after 15 employees tested positive for coronavirus.
To break the chain, the department will remain closed for 48 hours for undertaking disinfection work as per the COVID protocol for workplace.
According to reports, employees who are not attending office will work from home with VPN and attend office at short notice and be available over the telephone at all times. However, for attending immediate and urgent nature of official work a roster arrangement has been made.
The office will resume on Saturday, said sources.
