Berhampur: Parents of a 15-year-old girl, who died of brain tumour, have decided to donate her kidneys.
Siddhi Samruddhi, a Class X of De Paul School in Berhampur, was taken to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after she complained of severe headache. The doctors conducted a CT scan and detected a tumour in her brain. She was shifted to the ICU for further treatment but lost the battle for life on Tuesday morning.
Following her death, her parents Sapan Kumar Bindhani and Sunita Pradhan agreed to donate their daughter’s kidneys.
After all the formalities, one of her kidneys will go to Anamika Sahu of Kendrapada, who is undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, and the other will be transplanted in Santosh Gupta of Rourkela at Apollo Hospitals in Bhubaneswar, sources said.
