Mumbai: ‘Om Shanti Om’ celebrated 15 years of its release two weeks ago.
The Farah Khan-directed film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, was a massive hit — not only in India but abroad as well.
The iconic film was re-released recently, and crowds thronged to the theatres once again.
The film also received a heartfelt tribute at Cake International Birmingham. A special cake, in the form of SRK and Deepika from the film, is the main display at the world’s largest cake competition.
Shah Rukh Khan’s fan club took to social media to share pictures and videos of the event.
“#Pathaan stars – #ShahRukhKhan and #DeepikaPadukone’s cake of #OmShantiOm is the main display at Cake International Birmingham – The world’s largest cake competition. The cake is made by Tina Scott Parashar who completed making this special cake in a month. #CantWaitForPathaan,” read the tweet.
Tina Scott Parashar, a huge fan of SRK and Deepika, took a month to prepare the unique cake.
Social media users were floored by the ‘wonder’ cake.
“Wonderful and unbelievable,” one user wrote, while another commented, “Great creation.”
There were partially critical posts as well.
“I can believe it’s a cake and that’s SRK too, but can’t believe that’s Deepika,” wrote one fan.
Shah Rukh and Deepika, who delivered ‘Chennai Express’ too, are set to bring alive the big screen again with ‘Pathaan’. The blockbuster pair has reunited for the fourth time in the Siddharth Anand directorial, which is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023.
