Nuapada: The Excise Department officials seized 150 bottles of cough syrup and arrested a youth from Palasada square in Nuapada district on Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Geetakrushna Saraf from Komna area.
According to source, Sinapali Excise officials observed the suspicious activities of the youth, while patrolling on Thursday morning. Saraf was standing at Khadial-Boden road holding a gunny bag. On checking, Excise officials found 150 bottles of cough syrup in it.
The youth was arrested and forwarded to court, informed Excise Department SI Gadadhar Moharana.
