Bhubaneswar: As many as 1543 more patients recovered from COVID-19 and were being discharged from different hospitals in the state on Sunday.
Of the recovered patients on the day, Ganjam district reported maximum 402 cases, followed by 210 from Khurdha, 131 from Cuttack, 128 from Koraput, 111 from Gajapati, 83 from Balasore, 58 from Jajpur, 49 from Sambalpur, 47 from Malkangiri and 46 from Kandhamal, according to Health and Family Welfare department.
Similarly, 35 patients recovered from COVID-19 in Rayagada, 33 in Nayagarh, 31 in Bhadrak, 27 in Jagatsinghpur, 25 in Kalahandi, 23 in Keonjhar, 21 in Dhenkanal, 15 each in Nabarangpur and Mayurbhanj, 14 in Puri, 10 each in Balangir and Kendrapada.
The number of COVID-19 recovered cases from other districts is as follow:
7 from Sonepur
5 from Jharsuguda
4 from Sundargarh
2 from Baragarh
1 from Angul.
After the day’s count, the total recovered cases now stand at 31,784 while the positive tally went up to 45,927 with 1,734 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
