16 goats die in lightning strike at Angul

Angul: Sixteen goats were killed in lightning strike at Kosala village under Chendipada block in Angul district on Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, Anjulata Sahu of Bankataragadia Sahi of the village had taken the goats out to graze. It started drizzling accompanied by lightning and thunder. Anjulata took shelter under a tree, while the goats huddled together under a nearby tree.
The goats, however, died after being struck by lightning.
Some villagers immediately alerted the sarpanch, who reached the spot and enquired about the matter.
