16 Injured As Truck Rams Into Van In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: At least 16 students were injured, some of them seriously, when a truck dashed against the van in which they were travelling in Soro area of Odisha’s Balasore district on Sunday.

As per initial reports, the mishap took place on NH-16 near Bidu Chhak under the jurisdiction of Soro police station of the district when the van from Bhubaneswar was proceeding towards Baripada.

All the injured have been admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Soro for treatment.
Sources said the van was on its way to Baripada when it was hit by the truck from the front.

The locals rescued the injured and rushed them to the CHC at. One of the injured was later  shifted to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), sources said.
