Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning about rain and lightning for 16 districts of Odisha by 8 pm on Friday.
Issuing yellow alert, the IMD said light to moderate rain and thundershower with lightning is likely to affect parts of Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Koraput, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Cuttack and Balasore within next three hours.
People in these districts have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike
