Bhawanipatna: A minor boy was found hanging in the toilet of a government-run correctional home at Bhawanipatna in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Sunday night.
According to sources, the 16-year-old was brought to the institution run by the Department of Women and Child Development and Mission Shakti on August 12 after being convicted in a rape case. He was native of Kukudabai village of Nabarangpur.
On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body to districts headquarters hospital for postmortem. While a case of un-natural death has been registered, the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained.
