17 Among 33 New COVID Cases In Odisha’s Koraput Detected From Containment Zones

Jeypore: The COVID-19 tally in Koraput district touched 414 on Friday with 33 fresh cases being reported in the last 24 hours.

Of these new cases, 25 are local contacts with 17 detected from containment zones and four among those in home quarantine. The remaining four cases are from quarantine centres.

The eight cases reported from home quarantine and institutional quarantine centres, are returnees from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Ganjam and Rayagada districts.

Among the five cases in Koraput Municipality

-Three from DNK Colony (Fire Station area) (Already in containment)

-One from Ram Nagar, Koraput.

-One from Irrigation Colony, Koraput.

Among the 10 in Jeypore Municipality

-One from Glocal Medical Backside.

-Three from Bhupati Street (Already in containment)

-One from Gopabandhu Nagar (Already in containment)

-One from Dhepuguda (Already in containment)

-One from Bhoi Street

-Two from Adarsha Nagar

-One from Kapu Street

One from HAL, Sunabeda, under Sunabeda Municipality.

One from Dumuriguda village of Koraput Block.

Among the nine cases in Laxmipur Block

-Three from Minapai village, Laxmipur.

-Two from Khajuriput village, Laxmipur (Already in containment)

-One from CHC area, Laxmipur (Already in containment)

-Three from Laxmipur.

One from Poibeda village of Lamtaput block (Already in containment)

Four of them are from TMC-Arobinda School, Kundra. (Already in containment)

Among the two from Jeypore Block

-One from Kenduguda village.

-One from Umuri (Already in containment)

With 158 recoveries, the Koraput district has 256 active cases.
