17 Students Of Odisha’s Kalinganagar Awarded Tata Steel Parivar Scholarship

Kalinganagar: Seventeen students from displaced families of Tata Steel Kalinganagar (TSK) were awarded ‘Tata Steel Parivar Scholarship’ for 2023-24.

The scholarships were presented by chief guest Debdoot Mohanty, Chief (Corporate Services), TSK, workers’ union president Ravindra Kumar Jamuda, community leaders Biren Jamuda and Dabar Angarai at Corporate Services Hall of Tata Steel Kalinganagar near Duburi in Odisha’s Jajpur district.

Three of the scholarship awardees are pursuing Engineering, while the other 14 are undergoing Diploma courses in various Engineering streams.

The scholarship consists of full tuition fee, admission fee and hostel dues of students for the entire course duration.

“Tata Steel is committed towards the development of people in and around areas of operation and this scholarship is one such step towards this commitment. Tata Steel aims to groom and support the youth for a better career that would transform the life of their families. Now it is the responsibility of the students to work hard and focus on their studies to achieve success in life,” said Debdoot Mohanty.

Since it was introduced in 2007, the Tata Steel Parivar Scholarship has been awarded to 216 students from rehabilitated families.
