Nilagiri: Balasore excise officials seized about 179 litres of illicit
Indian liquor and arrested five persons in this connection on Tuesday.
Those arrested have been identified as Gayadhar Rout (50) of
Ghatagharsahi, Dhirendra Mallick (50), a resident of Bhuriapatna
village under Shyamsundar panchayat, Buddhia Singh (30) of Dwarika
village, Gajendra Biswal (27) and Purna Chandra Singh (32) hailing
from Nimapal village in the district.
Basing on an information regarding illegal sale of liquor, a team of
excise sleuths carried out the raid at Nilagiri and its nearby areas, and
succeeded in seizing the liquor besides arresting nab these people, an
excise official informed.
