Bhubaneswar: The fourth phase money of first instalment under Subhadra Yojana, the fund transfer scheme of Odisha government, will be disbursed by end of January, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed on Friday.
The money will be credited to bank accounts of over 20 lakh women beneficiaries.
“At least 17,000 of 31,000 women, who were ‘opted out’ due to various reasons, have re-applied for enrolment under the scheme. They will get their first installment in the last week of January,” she said.
On the remaining 14,000 applicants, she said they may have opted out for coming under higher income group category or family members with government jobs.
The Deputy CM further stated that over 2 lakh beneficiaries are yet to update their e-KYC, urging them to complete it to avail the benefits in the fourth phase. “Aadhaar, bank account and fingerprint matching is essential for transfer of fund. Not a single eligible beneficiary will be left out. The beneficiaries can enrol in the scheme by choosing ‘Opt In’ option by giving a reason and updating e-KYC even after disbursement of fourth phase money. They will get two instalment money on March 8,” she clarified.
Distribution of fourth phase money was earlier postponed as e-KYC verification for 5.11 lakh applications was pending.
It may be noted that the state government had set March 31 as the deadline for registration under Subhadra Yojana. The first instalment of Rs 5,000 has already been provided to over 80 lakh women in three phases.
The scheme was launched on September 17, 2024, after formation of BJP government in Odisha and will be implemented within 2024-25 and 2028-29 financial years.
