Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, at least 18 people were critically injured after a passenger bus overturned following a collision with an ambulance in Bhadrak district of Odisha on Thursday.
According to preliminary information, the bus carrying passengers from Bhadrak was proceeding towards Agarpada when the mishap took place near Raimani.
The bus overturned after colliding with an ambulance. The driver was stated to have lost control over the wheels. At least 18 passengers reportedly sustained critical injuries.
The injured passengers were rescued by local volunteers and rushed to the District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) in Bhadrak for treatment. The driver of the 102 ambulance also sustained grievous injuries in the mishap.
Senior officials of the district administration and police rushed to the site and supervised the rescue operation. Further details are awaited.
