Kolkata: Eighteen people were killed and five others injured in a road accident in West Bengal’s Nadia district on Saturday night.
Police said the victims were going to a crematorium from Bagda in North 24 Parganas in a matador to cremate a body.
The matador, which was reportedly going at a high speed, collided in thick fog with a truck parked on the roadside in Phulbari.
The injured have been admitted to hospital.
