18-Yr-Old Found Hanging In Odisha Capital, 3rd Case In 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: An 18-year-old was allegedly found hanging at Badagada in Odsiha capital on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as K. Indra Rao.

According to sources, Badagada police arrived at the spot after getting information and recovered her body. The body has been sent for postmortem and a probe has been initiated to ascertain the actual reason behind the death.

It is pertinent to mention here that two women were found hanging in the city on Thursday.

One incident was reported from Bhagabat Sandhan at Shanti Niwas under Mancheswar police limits in Rasulgarh area where a 33-year-old woman, identified as Pragyan Paramita, was hanging in her house. It is suspected that she might have taken the extreme step, suspecting her husband of having an extramarital affair.

Likewise, another 23-year-old woman, identified as Sasmita Barik, was also found hanging at Kharvela Nagar of Bhubaneswar.

This comes close on the heels of another incident at Sailashree Vihar under Chandrasekharpur police limits in the capital city where a woman software engineer, identified as Sweta Utkal Kumari, was found hanging in a rented house. She was working as Technology Analyst with Infosys here for the past one year.
