188 Unused Vehicles Removed From Public Places In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has toed away 188 unused and stationary vehicles from roads and public places in the city during its drive in the last one week.

Sources said as per Commissionerate Police’s announcement earlier, the owners of such vehicles were informed through telephone and public address system to remove their vehicles.

After enough time was given to the owners in this regard, the vehicles which remained parked in public places were taken away. The owners can get their vehicles after paying penalty and towing charges, they added.

The police launched the drive in the city on December 19 following complaints that such vehicles were occupying space in the area causing inconvenience and accidents to the people.
