Bhadrak: Nineteen students were taken ill after having mid-day meal (MDM) at the Charitaraf Upper Primary School under Tihidi block in Bhadrak on Friday.
They were rushed to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for primary treatment.
According to sources, the children complained of uneasiness after having the meal in the afternoon. The school authority took them to the Bhadrak DHH immediately.
Parents of the students alleged that a dead mouse was spotted in the served food, said the sources.
Meanwhile, the District Sub-Collector reached the hospital to inspect the children’s condition.
