Mumbai: More than 19 months after Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested a neighbour of the late actor.

The absconding Sahil Shah, aka Flacko, an alleged drug peddler, was nabbed in the drugs case related to Sushant’s death when he returned to Mumbai from Dubai, an NCB official said.

The 31-year-old Sahil’s name had come when NCB was probing an accused in the Sushant death case. Sahil will be questioned in a marijuana seizure case and Sushant death case, the official informed.

After NCB officials revealed Sahil’s name, he went missing. In June 2021, Sahil filed a petition last year for protection against arrest. His bail application was also rejected.

NCB had said that its investigation found Sahil used to supply drugs to Karan Arora and Abbas Lakhani, both of whom were arrested in connection with the Sushant case.

NCB, which has been probing a drugs angle in the Sushant case, arrested several people, including Sushant’s actress girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik in September 2020.

Rhea walked out of jail after a month, while Showik was granted bail after nearly three months.

Mumbai Police had said Sushant had died by suicide. But following complaints from Sushant’s family, the case was taken over by the CBI, while NCB and ED are also looking into different angles.
