Bhubaneswar: The capital city reported 211 new COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours.
It represents a slight dip compared to 227 fresh cases the previous day and 307 on Saturday.
Of the new cases, 61 were from quarantine and 150 were through local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed.
Notably, 19 of the total cases are under 18 years of age.
Among local contacts, 10 cases were detected in Khandagiri, followed by 9 in Rasulgarh, 8 from Patia, and 7 from Nayapalli.
While 187 patients recovered during the period, the number of deceased has gone up to 974.
The city now has 3,098 active cases and total positive cases have gone up to 10,4,060 the BMC stated.
