New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Water Resources (Jal Shakti) Rattan Lal Kataria on Thursday informed the Lok Sabha that 19 rivers in Odisha are polluted.
The minister, in a written reply to a question by BJP leader Jual Oram, said according to the report by the Central Pollution Control Board, the sample test has revealed that 19 rivers in Odisha are polluted.
These rivers are Gangua, Guradinala, Kathjodi, Nandirajhara, Daya, Luna, Mangala, Kuakhai, Bangurulala, Bheden, Brahmani, Budhabalanga, Kusumi, Mahanadi, Nagabali, Ratnachira, Rusikulya, Sabulia and Sedhua.
