Jharsuguda: More school students tested positive for coronavirus in Odisha. Nineteen students of three schools in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district were found Corona positive after the reopening of schools.
While 9 are from JO Government High School in Sahaspur, 2 are from KGP Government High School at Saletikira and 8 from Hemasagar High School at Pakelkhola.
Assistant Block Education Officer Bideshi Behera instructed the Headmasters of the schools to contact the Medical Officers concerned and ask the students to stay in home isolations.
After being closed for almost nine months, schools for Classes X and XII students reopened across the state on January 8 by adhering to the COVID-19 guidelines.
Notably, 13 government and private schools under Laikera block in the district have been opened. On the first day of reopening 335 students were present.
