Bhubaneswar: Even five days after he went missing, police are yet to make any breakthrough in the alleged abduction of a boy from Housing Board Colony at Chandrasekharpur in the Odisha capital.
The boy has been identified as Satwik Saswat Das (19). He is a BTech student of Trident Academy of Technology in the city.
According to family sources, the incident took place around 7.25 pm while the parents of the boy were away at a private hospital for treatment. Satwik and his sister were studying in different rooms in the house. When she went to call him for dinner, the room was empty. Later they searched for him in the surrounding areas but to no avail.
The family then lodged a complaint with the Chandrasekharpur police. They told the media that they suspect three of Satwik’s friends behind the incident.
Meanwhile, police have verified the footage of the CCTV cameras. “We could find no clue from the CCTV footage. The investigation is on,” said IIC of Chandrasekharpur police station Jubaraj Swain.
