Cuttack: During a special drive on Friday, the police raided different places at Badambadi here and seized 192 bottles of IMFL.
In a tweet, DCP, Cuttack said seven excise cases were detected today at Cuttack UPD with massive seizure of illegal IMFL, cash Rs. 14,000.
The police have also arrested 8 persons in this connection and registered cases.
With the state government announcing total lockdown in four districts including Cuttack for 14 days from 9 pm today, there was a mad rush among people at liquor shops in the city. Some also reportedly bought large amount of liquor to stock as the shops will remain closed during the lockdown.
