Cuttack: As many as 199 COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the areas under Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Sunday.
Of the new cases, 55 were reported from institutional quarantine centres including 3 from SCB isolation ward. Two were COVID warriors, according to CMC.
Of 41 cases detected in home quarantine, 4 patients each were from Mahanadi Vihar, Mangalabag and CDA.
The number of persons infected by local contacts was 103. Of them, 9 were from Nuapada, 6 from Tulasipur and 5 each from Chauliaganj and CDA.
With the day’s figure, the total positive cases in the city went up to 7,767. While 5520 patients have recovered, 34 have succumbed to the disease. There are 2213 active cases at present.
