Nasik: Yusuf Memon, a 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case convict, died on Friday at Nashik Road Prison in Maharashtra’s Nashik district.
He is the brother of absconding accused Tiger Memon, the alleged mastermind behind the 12 blasts in Mumbai on March 12, 1993, when 250 persons were killed and hundreds were injured.
The cause of Yusuf’s death was yet to be ascertained, a prison official said adding that the body would be sent to Dhule for autopsy,
A special TADA court had sentenced him to life imprisonment.
Another Memon brother Yakub Memon, who was arrested in the same case, was hanged in 2015.
