1st Class AC Coaches In Hirakhand & Puri-Durg Express For Benefit Of Odisha Passengers

Bhubaneswar: First Class AC service will be provided in Puri-Durg-Puri Express and Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express trains from the first week of March, 2023, the Railways said on Monday.

Augmentation of AC First Class service in both these trains will provide benefit to the passengers of northern Andhra Pradesh as well as people of south and western parts of Odisha.

East Coast Railway (ECoR) said in a release that Members of Parliament during the Divisional Committee Meetings of MPs had demanded provision of 1st Class AC service in the two trains.

Keeping in view the demands and aspirations of the public, especially passengers; ECoR has decided to provide 1st Class AC Service in both the trains.

It said 18425/18426 Puri-Durg-Puri Express will be augmented with one AC first Class coach from Puri from March 3, 2023 and from Durg from March 4, 2023 by replacing the composite coach of both 1st and 2nd AC.

Similarly, 18447/18448 Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express from Bhubaneswar with effect from March 7, 2023 and from Jagadalpur from March 8, 2023 will be augmented with one AC First Class Coach.
