Bhubaneswar: Odisha has achieved another milestone in COVID vaccination by administering a record of 2.5 crore doses of vaccines, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department on Friday.

“We thank the people of Odisha for their active participation in the fight against Covid-19,” said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Odisha has set a target to vaccinate over 3 lakh people a day.

Meanwhile, the state has topped in the country in terms of curbing vaccine wastage by prudently using the extra dose available in each vial as wastage. Odisha has so far saved 12.2 lakh doses and thus registered -5.5 per cent misuse, which means five for every 100 doses allotted has been saved.
