Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Wednesday arrested two persons allegedly involved in an attack on a journalist of a vernacular daily on August 7.
They were identified as Rajivlochan Swain alias Rintua of Balipatna and Ayub Khan of Brhmanjharilo.
Besides nabbing the two miscreants, police have seized the weapon and a motorcycle used in the crime.
The journalist, Ramesh Rath, was attacked by two motorcycle-borne miscreants at Balipatna on the outskirts of the city while he was returning from work. He was admitted to Capital Hospital here with grievous injury on his back. He is still convalescing in the hospital, reports said.
The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
