Dhenkanal: Police on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with the gang-rape of a 70-year-old woman of Gondia area in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday night.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim at Sadar police station, she was attending her ailing granddaughter at the district headquarters hospital when two youths called her outside the hospital on Tuesday night. When she went out, the duo took her to an isolated place near a temple and gang-raped her.
Acting on the complaint, police arrested the two accused after identifying them from the CCTV footage.
The two accused, who were forwarded to the court on Thursday, are working as contractual employees in the hospital, police said.
