Sambalpur: Two persons were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the alleged murder in Dhudiapada forest in Odisha’s Sambalpur district.
The accused have been identified as Chunu Sahu (27) of Chandbali in Bhadrak district and Aswini Bhue (47) of Debahal in Bargarh district. Both were residing at Bijlinagar in Burla.
According to police sources, the murder took place between 8.30 am and 1 pm on Monday. Wife of the deceased, Barun Sahu of Bijlinagar, lodged a missing complaint with police the following day. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the duo, who confessed to the crime during interrogation. Police later recovered the body from the forest.
The murder is suspected to be the fallout of previous enmity, the sources added.
