Khurda: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch on Sunday arrested two youths in Tapanga area of the district on the charge of drug peddling and seized 262 gram of brown sugar from their possession.
Acting on reliable information, the STF team traced the two accused, Sk Talim alias Badi and Sk Asif alias Baun, near Tapanga Crossing on NH-16 under Khurda Sadar police limits. After recovery of the contraband, the two were arrested. A motorcycle and other incriminating materials were also seized from their possession.
The police have registered a case under Section 21 (c) of NDPS Act 1985 and launched further investigation, according to a press release.
