2 Arrested In Bhubaneswar Pahala Murder Case, Hunt On For 2 Others



Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough in the sensational murder at Pahala on Bhubaneswar outskirts, two persons were arrested by the police on Saturday.

The arrested accused have been identified as Aditya Nayak and B


ishwajit Behera, residents of Nachhipur in Cuttack district.

The two were apprehended following an investigation into the brutal murder of a youth, identified as Prabhat, that had triggered widespread concern in the area.

Preliminary findings suggest that Prabhat was brutally attacked on June 16. Investigators believe the accused allegedly assaulted him with beer bottles, repeatedly striking him on the head, leading to his death. Police are analysing all possible aspects as part of the investigation to ascertain the motive behind the crime.

Two other suspects allegedly involved in the murder have fled the state and are currently on the run. Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend them. Police teams have reportedly launched a manhunt and are coordinating with authorities in other states to track down the absconding accused, police sources said.
