Bhubaneswar: Two persons were arrested by the police on Saturday in connection with the killing of a alleged drug mafia Somnath Bhujabal in Odisha’s Khurda district last month.
The accused have been identified as Dharitri Behera and Raj Dalabehera of Mukundaprsad village under the jurisdiction of Khurda town police station. Police have also seized two swords and three vehicles from their possession, sources said.
Somnath Bhujabal alias Pinku, a known brown sugar dealer of Khurda, was shot at by armed miscreants near Samantaraypur square of the town. He was first rushed to a hospital in Khurda and then shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He later succumbed to his injuries.
It may be noted here that the property of the drug dealer had earlier been attached by the police, sources said.
