Bhadrak: Two tourists from West Bengal were killed while two others were critically injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed a dump truck on NH-16 near Bishnupur Chhak in Odisha’s Bhadrak on Sunday.
According to sources, the accident took place when Abhijit Dutt, Sanjeev Saha, Arun Mukherjee and Vivek from West Bengal were on their way to Jagannath Temple, Puri, in a MUV. Locals rescued the four from the mangled remains of the vehicle and rushed them to Bhadrak district headquarters hospital, where two among them succumbed. The condition of the other two is stated to be critical.
Abhijit Dutt said that they were headed to Puri Srimandir for darshan but failed to describe the circumstances that led to the mishap, sources added.
