Sambalpur: Three persons, including two motorcyclists, were killed when their two-wheeler hit a pedestrian in Ainthapali area of Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Saturday, reports said.
The mishap took place on National Highway No. 53 near Panchgochhia under the jurisdiction of Ainthapali police station in the morning.
The deceased has been identified as Mahesh Jarjaria, a businessman, Pramesh Rout and Santosh Naik of Hirakud area.
According to sources, Pramesh and Santosh were riding the two-wheeler on the highway when the bike hit Mahesh who was crossing the road.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared them dead.
On being informed, a team of police personnel rushed to the site and an investigation was launched.
