Malkangiri: Two persons were killed as their bike collided head-on with a car in Odisha’s Malakangiri district on Sunday.
According to sources, the two youths, identified as Ganga Kabasi and Lachha Madhi of Erakunda village under Kalimela police station, were returning on their bike to their homes on National Highway 326 in the afternoon. As they reached Potakhol under the same police limits, a car coming in high speed from Kalimela collided with them.
The collision was so high that the bike went under the car and both the bikers were run over. They died on the spot.
While the bike was totally damaged in the accident, the car driver has been absconding.
On being informed about the accident by the locals, a team from Kalimela police station went to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
