2 Boys Forced To Get Married To Appease Rain Gods & Bring Showers!

Bengaluru: India aspires to be a superpower. But even in the 21st century, superstitions and beliefs belying logic continue to afflict certain sections of society.

Bizarre incidents and acts are reported from different parts of the country from time to time.

The latest such strange incident surfaced from Karnataka where two boys were forced to marry each other!

The reason?

It was a symbolic gesture to appease the rain gods, reported ANI.

The marriage rituals of the two boys were conducted at Gangenahalli village’s Krishnarajpet taluka in Mandya district.

Several parts of the state have not received much rainfall this year. Hence, the people are following strange old traditions and rituals to please rain gods so that he can address the issue urgently.

According to some of the locals, the two boys, dressed in traditional attire, participated in a marriage ceremony as bride and groom.
