Baripada: Two brothers were killed when the motorcycle they were riding hit a milepost on Damasahi-Khunta road in Kushalda area of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Sarat Chandra Singh (28) and Rama Chandra Singh (27) of Kushalda.
Another man, identified as Pudugu Marandi, sustained critical injuries in the mishap.
Sources said the mishap took place when the two brothers along with Pudugu were returning home from Jayapur on their bike.
Sarat and Rama died on the spot while locals rescued Pudugu in a critical condition and took him to a nearby hospital.
On being informed, a police team reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem.
