Bhubaneswar: Two youths were charred to death after the motorcycle they were riding caught fire following a mishap near Kandarpur toll gate on Cuttack-Paradip road late on Monday.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, the accident took place around 2.00 am when the bike hit a concrete mixer parked along the road as they were on their way to Paradip from Tirtol in Jagatsinghpur district. Following the collision, the bike caught fire leaving them critically injured.
They were rescued by Kandarpur police and taken to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, where doctors pronounced them dead.
The police seized the bike and concrete mixer and further investigation is underway.
