2 Children Among 4 Critical In Acid Attack In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: Four members of a family, including two children, sustained critical burn injuries after being attacked with acid by miscreants at a village in Odisha’s balasore district on Monday.

According to initial reports, two sisters and two children have suffered critical burn after miscreants allegedly barged into their house at Bhimapur under the jurisdiction of Sahadevkhunta police station and splashed acid at them.

All the four injured were rushed to a hospital in Balasore for treatment. One of them was later reportedly shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Their condition was stated to be critical.

While the reason of the acid attack yet to be ascertained, issues related to a marriage were suspected to have led to the incident.

The police is investigating into the matter. Further details are awaited.
