Nayagarh: In a disturbing incident in Odisha’s Nayagarh district, two Class VII students fell unconscious on the school premises after allegedly consuming liquor.
The shocking incident was reported from Daspalla High School located at Daspalla in the district.
As per information, the students arrived at school in an intoxicated condition and later fell
unconscious. The incident created panic among teachers and students. Upon noticing their condition, the teachers informed the headmaster.
Headmaster Subash Chandra Sahu said that the parents of the two students were immediately called to the school. The boys came to school drunk and after noticing this, school authorities informed their families. After the children regained consciousness, they were handed over to their parents, he said.
However, the mother of one of the students claimed that her son did not consume alcohol at home but instead drank it after being offered by some other boys at school.
The incident has triggered concern among the parents and locals, raising serious questions about student safety and supervision in educational institutions
