2 College Students Drown In Damadamani Dam In Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: In a tragic incident, two college students died after they drowned in Damadamani dam at Choudwar in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Wednesday.

As per sources, the mishap took place when five friends, said to be Plus II students of Stewart Science College in Cuttack, had been to Damadamani Temple in Choudwar.

The students later they went to the nearby dam. Three of them entered in the dam for a bath, but all of them slipped deep into the water and drowned.

Locals started a rescue operation and managed to pull one of the students from the water, while two others, identified as Srutik Satpathy and Soyam Sanket Das went missing.

On being informed, police personnel and divers launched a search operation and fished out the bodies of both Srutik and Soyam.

Police seized the bodies and started an investigation into the incident.
