Bhubaneswar: At least two persons were critically injured after their car was hit by a speeding Hyva truck near Damana Square in Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning.
As per preliminary information, the victims were inside the car which was parked along the main road near Damana Square when the speeding truck dashed against their vehicle from the rear. At least two persons, including the driver of the car, sustained grievous injuries in the mishap.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to the Capital Hospital for treatment. Their condition was stated to be critical. Two others reportedly suffered minor injuries in the mishap.
The driver of the truck who sustained minor injuries has been taken into custody by Chandrasekharpur Police.
The impact of the collision was so severe that it left both vehicles severely damaged.
A team of police personnel visited the site and launched an investigation into the accident.
