Bhubaneswar: The two-day Annual Flower Show, 2023, will begin at the Botanical Garden of Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) in Odisha capital on Saturday.
Minister of Forest, Environment and Climate Change Pradip Kumar Amat will inaugurate the event at 10 am, an official release said on Friday.
A total of15 firms and thirty nurseries will exhibit ornamental plants through plant bazaars. The ‘Floral Gate’ erected at the entry point of the flower show will be the central attraction of the event. There will be competitions for floral arrangements, cut flowers, painting competitions, and various special plant group displays.
The RPRC and Plant Lovers’ Association (PLA), Bhubaneswar, has been organising the show on the second Saturday and Sunday of January every year since 2006 with the support of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), Odisha Forest Development Corporation Ltd (OFDC) and Directorate of Horticulture.
