Cuttack: Two days after a daring daylight ATM van loot, armed miscreants attacked the office and godown an e-commerce company in Athagarh area of Odisha’s Ctutack district and decamped with huge cash on Monday.
As per preliminary information, the incident took place in Ashoknagar under Athagarh area of the district. Two masked miscreants on a motor-cycle struck at the godown and office of Flipkart and threatened the staff with guns.
After terrorising the employees at gun point, the miscreants decamped with cash amounting to lakhs of rupees, sources said. The attackers took away a box containing a huge amount of cash. The exact amount looted is yet to be ascertained.
After getting information about the incident, a team of police personnel visited the spot and initiated an investigation into the loot.
The incident came two days after armed miscreants chased and looted an ATM cash van in an SUV and motorcycles on November 11 in the area. They waylaid the van at a secluded place near a rice mill under Tigiria Police limits. They took away a trunk loaded with more than Rs 1.5 crore cash from the van.
