Ayodhya: Less than 48 hours before the highly-anticipated Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the newly constructed Ram mandir here, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi was fuming.
Acharya Satyendra Das reacted sharply to the surfacing of an image of the Ram Lalla idol on social media before the consecration ceremony on January 22.
He went to the extent of demanding an investigation to find out who was responsible for releasing the picture of the idol built in black stone.
“The rituals of pran pratishtha are being performed where the new idol has been placed… The body of the idol has been covered with clothes for now… The idol that has been revealed with open eyes is not correct… The eyes will not open before the pran pratishtha… If such an image is appearing, an investigation should be conducted to determine who did it,” Acharya Das said on Saturday.
Officials have been concerned after the photo of Ram Lalla was leaked from Shri Ram Janmabhoomi sanctum sanctorum on Friday.
They suspect that the image of Ram Lalla was leaked by officials engaged in construction work at the temple site. The trust is preparing to take action against the officers who made Ramlala’s photo viral.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is seriously considering action against the culprits.
The 51-inch idol, carved in black stone by Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was placed in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram temple on Thursday evening.
