Balangir: Two persons were killed and as many sustained serious injuries when a car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck near RTO Office Square here late on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Balakrushna Bemal and Amarabar Sahu. Bemal was a resident of Sagarapada in the district, while Sahu, the driver of the car, hails from Kalapathara in Khurda district, police sources said.
The injured Deepak Podha and Rinku Maharana of Bhubaneswar were
immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital. They were
later shifted to VIMSAR at Burla in critical condition, the sources added.
