Puri: Two persons died and over 30 others have affected following spread of suspected diarrhoea in several localities of Puri town in Odisha.
According to sources, diarrhoea cases were reported in several parts of the town including Balisahi and Red Cross Road area in the last few days.
While several of the patients have been admitted to hospital with symptoms of loose motion, vomiting and nausea, to persons were reported to have died.
The deceased were identified as Basanti Das and Padmacharan Khuntia. Doctors said both were aged above 70 years and the exact cause of the death is yet to be ascertained.
