Bhubaneswar: Two persons died after a bullet crashed into a streetlight pole on Fire Station Road near Rental Colony in Bhubaneswar last night.
The deceased have been identified as Devi Prasad Parida and Anvesh Satyadarshan Das, both students of a private engineering college.
According to sources, the speeding bullet rammed into the pole after the rider lost control over the two-wheeler. The motorcycle then skidded several metres and collided with a roadside tree before crashing into a parked car. The impact of the collision was so intense that the biker and the pillion rider died on the spot.
